Paper Finds

It’s no wonder this piece by Nadia of Mama Tita is entitled “Wonder Castle.” Beautiful from every angle, especially when backlit. Pair it with paper princes and princesses and paper horses and it’ll truly be paperly ever after.

“They were cones!” - a line from one of my favorite movies, The Wedding Singer.

I love *everything* about this DIY paper cone backdrop from Ruffled. It looks doable, albeit time consuming, but things that take time tend to have a beautiful outcome, no?

Pictured above are some of my favorites from the amazing Ready Go Paper Studio - I love saying the name, by the way. Makes me think of a catchy cool ’80s-esque song and it now makes me think I should quit going off weird tangents.

If I haven’t already featured Ready Go Paper Studio on my blog, then shame on me and damn me to paper purgatory (I wouldn’t dare damn myself to paper hell, because paper burns pretty easily in fire and all that would be left are ashes and whoa I’m going off an a hellish tangent).

I am tempted to give up on my poor excuse for a green thumb and instead buy flowers that will last for.ev.er. such as these.

These disposable paper placemats are all sorts of whimsical, but practical? Perhaps. I could envision them at a party of some sort. Or on display in a Martha Stewart magazine.

Looking for temporary (or possibly permanent) ways to decorate your home? “Leaf” it (haha I just made a funny) to these leaf-its, recycled post-its formed into the shape of leaves.

Recycle old magazines into wall art … and give an entirely new meaning to the term “wall paper.” Complete with a thorough step-by-step tutorial, these will definitely turn heads. And then some.

I am a firm believer that weddings should be fun because the more fun, the more at ease the bride will be. A lot of the fun is reflected in the decor, and there was definitely a whole lot of of fun and a whole lot of awesome going on at this couple’s wedding. The venue was littered with loads upon loads of whimsical pin-wheel & kite-inspired decor, which I can marvel at for hours.

I’ve fallen madly in love with these paper lamps by Rie Elise Larsen. They’re kind of reminiscent of cupcake wrappers, no? That being said, I think they’d look perfect in a bakery or cupcake shop. It would be a treat if Ikea started selling a variety of these at a slightly more wallet-friendly price.

It’s been a half-life (or maybe quarter-life) long wish of mine to start a vintage camera collection. Priorities like feeding my face, however, have prevented that from happening yet. However, no need for depression or le sighing because these postcards of vintage kodak cameras would look very nicely on display in my home.
